Hello everyone!:) happy Saturday! This week has been so hectic, but very productive, so I am so happy to be sitting in my sweats, drinking tea and writing this post! Over the Thanksgiving break I went to LA with my family and we had such a blast. I go to LA quite often so I feel like I want to start documenting my trips there hopefully to give you guys some ideas where to go if you are ever in LA. LA is a HUGE city, with way too much traffic, but I have fallen IN LOVE with the place and can’t wait to show you some of my favorite places! I am going back the second week of December so I will be sure to do another one of these then so stay tuned! Hope you enjoy!
Day 1:
We went to the Broad on our first day, and it is by far my favorite museum in LA. They have an incredible exhibit there right now featuring Yayoi Kusama’s pieces and I wanted to go so bad, but tickets are really tricky to get. However, if you are a dedicated fan, you can wait in a 3 hour line at 6 AM for tickets later in the day which would be such an amazing opportunity too. I was really excited because they had new pieces I had never seen before, which is always a treat!
Next stop was Little Damage, which has always been on my bucket list and was everything I could have wanted and more! I totally recommend hitting it up if you are ever in the downtown LA area! They have new flavors every month, which are beyond cute and creative.
One of my FAVORITE things to do when I travel is go to sky scraper observatories and look over the city from a birds eye view. The UE SkySpace is so cool and has such impressive panoramic views of every neighborhood in LA. And for all you thrill seekers, they have a clear slide that towers over the city, and if you are there it is a MUST do! All of these places are within DownTown LA, so it worked out perfectly to hit up all these fun spots!
Day 2:
TOP (similar) / GLASSES (SUCH a good price!)
The next morning we went to Alfred’s Coffee in Silverlake, which was a first for me. They have other locations, and also the Tea Room, and all of them are SO stinking cute. I have always had such great experiences at Alfred’s coffee and they have such fun food options (that are also super photogenic LOL)
I obviously also went to SoulCycle, because it is such a treat and is the most fun workout class EVER! I went to the Hollywood location and biked next to Kristen Bell HAHA, you never know what celebs end up at soul cycle! Going just makes you feel so good and gives you those endorphins to last you the rest of the day! Such a positive and encouraging environment!
COAT (also a steal!)
The last thing we did that day was Skinny B*tch Pizza and Hamilton, basically the definition of heaven!! Even if you don’t see a play or show, Hollywood Boulevard is so fun to walk down and people watch! Also, this pizza is healthy and SO yummy, which can be really hard to compensate for something unhealthy haha! All in all, Hollywood was really fun to explore, especially because I can’t make it up here that often!
Day 3:
Our last day we stopped at West Hollywood for breakfast at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker Cafe, which is a new hip breakfast place with amazing coffee art. It was SO good, it quite possibly be my new favorite brunch stop in LA! I ate every bite of my French toast, and we could not have had better service! The location is super fun, perched right on Sunset Boulevard. On the way home, we had to grab some Sprinkles from the ATM in Beverly Hills! 🙂
Thank you so much for reading, I hope this was helpful!:) Come back next Saturday for more!
xx, Madison
