Heyyy guys! Hope you all have had a FABULOUS thanksgiving and fall so far! I have been really wanting to share my everyday makeup routine (when I am actually motivated enough to do makeup LOL) because even tho I am no Jeffree Star, I still love to experiment with products and try out all the trendy Instagram makeup fads that I discover on my explore page. This look I am about to show you is SUPER minimal and really easy and amateur and it is really versatile too, for before school or for a girls night! 🙂 Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
STEP 1: Prime
I use the Too Faced Hangover Primer because it is really hydrating and smells really yummy. I have combination skin (and it is LITERALLY the death of me) so this primer aids both my dry and oily skin. I put this on after my skin care is all soaked in. I switch between this primer and the Marc Jacobs Primer.
Step 2: CC Cream
My HOLY GRAIL product is the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I have gone through 3 tubes of it because I am that obsessed. It is really buildable and natural, so it is perfect for school or something more formal. Typically, I blend it out with a damp beauty blender and it has such a natural finish. It really evens out your complexion and covers imperfections without looking too cakey.
Pro Tip: BLEND DOWN YOUR NECK. Nuff said.
STEP 3: Concealer
The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is new to me, but so far I love it. I got it because I am a sucker for all things that beauty gurus love, so I had to get it 😉 I only apply a dot or two under my eye and on the high points of my face because she is THICCCC let me tell you! Some more low-key concealers I have used and even repurchased in the past areNars Creamy Concealer and Glossier Stretch Concealer. I love the way it looks when I buff it in with a beauty blender.
STEP 4: Cream Contour/Highlight
Before powder, if I am feeling super extra, I will cream contour and/or highlight. I LOVE the Hoola Bronzing Stick. It’s really easy to blend and is the perfect contour shade for a natural everyday look. I blend it out with this brush.
STEP 5: Powder
I “bake” (like the youtubers say) with the Laura Mercier Transluscent Powder because it works magic with mattifying your face and keeping your concealer from creasing. I 100% got it because of the youtubers so shout out to them for teaching your girl how to steer clear from a shiny face 😉
STEP 6: Bronzing
Again, because I am an avid Kardashian supporter, I had to get myself a KKW contour palette. Sort of to my surprise, I am OBSESSED!! I have the light kit and it works really well with my coloring. I use both cool and warm tones as well as the highlighter on a day to day basis. It was honestly well worth the splurge, I am so in love with it at the moment!
Pro Tip: Morphe Brush Sets are a SO cute and inexpensive, perfect for beginners! I like the gold and rose gold sets because #aesthetic
Step 7: Blush
I am not the biggest blush person, but this tarte blush is a perfect beach for fall and looks good on literally everyone! I have also been using the Nars Orgasm Blush for YEARS, its a classic!
Pro Tip: Once highlighted, spray a face mist like All Nighter Spray or Mario Bedescu Spray (I know y’all probably have heard of this one) to lock in your makeup!
Step 8: Brows and Mascara
This is my favorite part. My eyebrows are naturally really dark, so I just stroke the Glossier Boy Brow to tame those brows. For mascara, after I curl my lashes, I loooove the Benefit Roller Lash because it really does lift your eyelashes and make them look really long and luscious.
Step 9: Lips!!
Pretty self explanatory, I use basically any chapstick or lip scrub (the Lush ones are bomb). I am not a big lipstick person so a little dab of gloss is perfect! 🙂
AAAAND that’s it!! This routine has been my GO TO and I love the way it looks! I am not a professional or anything, but it super simply makes you look put together and ready for the day! Thanks for stopping by my page! Tune in soon for more posts!
xx,
Madison
