Hair I Swear By

Hellllooo everyone! Happy fall! This is by far my favorite time of year and I could not be happier that it is finally here!!:) Today I wanted to share with you my hair ride or dies that I honestly can’t live without. Everyday is a struggle with my wild mane so I thought I would enlighten you all with some hair products that have gotten me through it all! Hair dos and tricks have always been so fascinating to me so I am so excited to show you guys my hair must haves that I have accumulated recently!

For shampoo and conditioner, I use the Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner and to say I am obsessed would be an understatement! It smells like I just walked out of a salon and it works wonders, especially if you have frizzy waves you want to tame! I got a keratin treatment on the hair that frames my face and it was life changing and this shampoo and conditioner keeps it in tact because it doesn’t have any sulfates, which I try to avoid in general when it comes to hair. About twice a week, I substitute my shampoo for this Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse because it is just so beneficial across the board and leaves your hair naturally smooth and clean.

I also am in love with leave in conditioners because it makes brushing out your hair so much easier and keeps it from breaking. My recent favorite has been so amazing and it is the Rejuvabeads by MONAT which is a split end mender. What amazes me so much about this product is how you put it after you take your hair out of your towel turban and comb your fingers through your ends and it gets rid of all the tangles instantly, without even needing to brush! (PS, NEVER EVER brush your hair immediately coming out of the shower, that is when it  tears and damages your hair the most!) On top of that, it smells so darn good. Two more leave in conditioners that I alternate between are the Briogeo Leave in Conditioner and the Unite 7 Seconds Detangler. These two… wow. I have had to restock on both of these multiple times, they are that good. You can use them separately or together, but I never go a day without using one of my handy dandy leave in conditioners. 😉

Lastly, before I start to blow-dry my hair and it is mostly dry, I put in this R+CO Prep Spray, which is like a primer for your hair and for the heat products you are going to use. I love the way it smells and it always feels reassuring to put a protectant on before using all that heat. If I want to go natural and embrace my waves, I will use the Ouai Wave Spray, which is AMAZING and does a great job enhancing your curls.

To curl my hair, I LOVE the BeachWaver Curling Iron. It is so great for beginners and is so quick to perfectly curl your hair. With the click of a button, the wand turns itself, making your arms not as sore. 😉 for touch ups, I even use it like a wand! And to straighten, I use the Chi Flat Iron, which is also so great and makes your hair feel so smooth and feel not as fried. Both of these were investment purchases, but for me, I use a hot tool everyday so it was well worth it for my everyday regime!

For Finishing Touches:

To finish off a hair do, I always spray it with hairspray, which there are so many, any will do! I like Treseme because it is a great price and keeps all your fly aways in place. If I were to straighten my hair, I like to put either Ouai Rose Hair Oil or Marakesh Oil at the tips to make my hair look extra shiny and healthy. If I were to curl my hair, I like it to look a little beachy and messy, so I would spray Living Proof Volume Blast or UNITE Texturizing Spray to give my hair that undone look. I also like to put some salt spray to add even more texture if I am feeling it 🙂

For another final touch, I just recently discovered the Shea Moisture Fragrance spray at Target (it is not online yet :)) and it is so cool because it makes your hair smell especially good when you are flying out the door and are feeling a lil grubby. 😉

My final suggestions for hair is to do your research and sample to find what kind of products work for your own individual hair type because that will make a huge difference in the end. Embrace your hair and treat it right, if you love your hair it will love you right back 😉

Thanks for reading babes! See you next week!

xx, Madison
